Description

Physical characteristics: Total mass is >100 kg

The size of this fragment of Onchopristis rostral bone is probably only about a third of its original length

Impressive specimen that corresponds to the distal end of the nose

The features of a single tooth are not enough to distinguish even on a generic level

In the same matrix you can also see a tooth of Platecarpus ptychodon (mosasaurus species) and what appears to be a rib fragment or the transverse process of another vertebra just below the neural spine of the main vertebra

The color of its enamel varies between tones of cream and brown. This tooth was broken in small sector during the initial collecting efforts but all parts were put back together and there is no restoration and no fabrication. The broken and subsequently glued areas are indicated in one of the images. Elasmosaurus teeth from the Upper Cretaceous from the Oulad Abdoun Basin are relatively more scarce than the Mosasaurus.
